Liza Barnett Emmet, President

Liza Barnett Emmet is President of Barnett Wealth Advisors in Jacksonville, FL.  In 1998, she began her career in financial services industry with New York Life where she was a top producer and Partner by 2001. She later joined MassMutual Financial Group in 2009 and last served as the Co-Managing Partner of the Jacksonville Firm.  Liza has held numerous Leadership positions in the industry.  Most notably as Chairman of MassMutual’s Sales Manager Advisory Board and she is the first woman to hold this position in the history of MassMutual, founded in 1851. 

Seeking an opportunity to develop a truly independent practice to focus solely on the interest of clients above all else, she began her own practice.  This drive for client satisfaction prompted her to start Barnett Wealth Advisors in 2014 where the focus is on investments, insurance, and financial planning.  Liza holds her Series 7 and 63 registrations through LPL Financial, Series 65 registration through LPL Financial and Maryland Financial Group and 2-15 license.

Liza graduated from the University of Georgia in 1996 and is a sixth generation Jacksonville native where her family has been in the Banking and Financial Industry for over 100 years. Liza and her husband, Patrick reside in Jacksonville and have three children.  They are avid tennis players who also love to travel and spending time with family. 

Liza serves on the Board of Governors of The Florida Yacht Club, The Women's Board of Wolfson Children's Hospital, is a patron and supporter of The Cummer Museum of Art and past Board Member of the Boys and Girls Club.
